Many of you were able to see the fruit of our ministry to international students, iReach, a couple of months ago when we were able to baptize our first Japanese student!

iReach is a ministry that seeks to connect with international students at the University of Arkansas in Fort Smith, engage them in relational and spiritual conversations, help them to join our encouraging community, and share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are about to kick off the spring semester of iReach with our first Conversation Club on Thursday, February 1 at 6:30pm at the Baptist Collegiate Ministry building on campus. This is a weekly event where international students are invited to come for a meal and a chance to practice their English. We are asking each of our Bible Study Departments to host a meal during the semester. You can sign up to provide a meal HERE.

There are many ways that you can serve in this ministry…

  • Conversation Club every Thursday evening during the semester
  • Fun day trips to Little Rock or Tulsa
  • Spring Retreat at Kiamichi Baptist Assembly in Oklahoma
  • Be a Host Home to invite an international student over for a meal in your home
  • Pray for international students

If you are interested in participating in this ministry or just receiving prayer requests and updates, contact our iReach Leader, Beau Barrera.
