Lottie Moon Christmas Offering 2016

lottiemoon_16Beginning December 4th we will begin to promote our annual Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® for World Missions. Every year during the Christmas season more than 45,000 Southern Baptist Churches focus on world missions by praying for the nations and giving to support our missionaries with the International Mission Board.

Starting in 1888, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® was established to empower the international missions efforts for Southern Baptists. After more than a century, the annual offering continues its steady growth. Your giving enables missionaries to be sent to make disciples and multiply churches among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God.

This year our church’s goal for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® is $90,000. We hope that you and your family will pray about what you can give to this very worthwhile offering. 100% of the money given goes to send and sustain missionaries to the unreached people groups of the world.

Be sure and come by the missions area in Guest Services during the month of December. There you and your family will be able to pick out an ornament that features one of the remaining critically unreached people groups on the planet. Take it home to hang on your tree or fridge and use it as a reminder to pray for that tribe, our missionaries, and the offering.

Also, in the missions area of Guest Services your children will be able to get their picture taken and put into their very own Passport to World Missions. Every month during 2017, we will feature one of our partnerships from all over the world. Your child, at least once during the month, can come over with their passport, do an activity to learn about that partnership, and get a stamp in their passport! At the end of the year, we will have a prize for those who get a stamp from all of our partnerships.
